Zico to drop new track ‘Seoul Drift’ on July 19
Rapper Zico will drop his song "Seoul Drift" on July 19, KOZ Entertainment said Friday.
The agency posted a teaser photo to social media channels the same day, and said that it is part of the rapper's upcoming EP "Grown Ass Kid."
The song's lyrics will be about what Zico felt during the past two years.
"Grown Ass Kid" is set to release on July 27.
Zico, whose real name is Woo Ji-ho, debuted in 2011 as a member of boy band Block B. The septet saw commercial success with songs “NalinA” (2012), “Jackpot” (2014) and “HER” (2014).
Zico has seen popularity as both a K-pop and hip-hop artist. He is also part of the hip-hop crew Fanxy Child, which consists of artists Dean, Crush, Penomeco, millic and Stay Tuned.
He has produced songs for other K-pop acts, like Mino of Winner, Kim Se-jeong (an ex-member of now-disbanded I.O.I), Penomeco and Wanna One.
His hit songs as a solo artist include “Any Song” (2020), which went viral on TikTok for its dance challenge.
In May, Zico was appointed as the Korean ambassador for luxury Italian fashion brand Fendi.
