Ateez member San won the Best K-pop Icon award at the Elle Style Awards 2024 on Thursday.

The Elle Style Awards is an event hosted by the fashion magazine Elle, honoring individuals who have demonstrated unique styles in the fields of fashion, culture and art.

San received the award as the sole K-pop act at the event.


"I am honored to receive such a valuable award. I want to share this joy with those who support me,” San said in his acceptance speech. “Thank you to our fans, 'Atiny,' and I will become an artist that you will feel proud of.”


San had previously attended the Dolce & Gabbana show during Milan Fashion Week in Milan, Italy, last month.

Boy band Ateez is set to embark on its world tour, "Towards The Light: Will to Power," in Europe in January next year. The group will perform a total of 14 concerts across nine countries — France, Italy, Switzerland, Britain, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Denmark and Belgium.


Ateez will headline the Grand Mint Festival 2024, to be held at Olympic Park in Songpa District, eastern Seoul, on Nov. 3.

Debuting in 2018 with its EP “Treasure EP.1: All to Zero,” Ateez became the first K-pop boy group to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April, the largest music festival in the United States, and the first K-pop act to headline the Mawazine music festival in June.
