Boy band WayV to release sixth EP 'Frequency' on Nov. 25
Boy band WayV will release its sixth EP, "Frequency," on Nov. 25, the band's agency SM Entertainment said Monday.
Five of the group’s six members — Kun, Ten, Xiaojun, Hendery and Yangyang — are participating in the album. Member Winwin will not be taking part due to his drama filming commitments in China, according to the agency.
WayV's new album arrives five months after the release of its fifth EP, "Give Me That," which topped iTunes' top albums charts in 19 countries and regions worldwide. The group also achieved its first win on a Korean TV charting program with this EP in June.
The new album features six tracks, including Korean and Chinese versions of the title song "Frequency."
WayV is currently on its first stand-alone concert tour, “ON THE Way,” which will run through February next year. The tour kicked off with its Nagoya shows in August and is scheduled to take the group to Bangkok on Nov. 2 and 3; Taipei, Taiwan on Nov. 9; Hong Kong on Jan. 4; and Macao on Feb. 15.
WayV debuted in January 2019 with its first EP, "The Vision," and is the China-based subunit of SM Entertainment's boy band NCT. Three members of the group are from mainland China, and the remaining three members are from Taiwan, Macao and Thailand, respectively.
