Spotify announces BTS's "Arirang" chart performance [SPOTIFY]

All 14 tracks from boy band BTS's latest album “Arirang” took over the top spots on Spotify's daily top songs chart, the band's agency BigHit Music said on Sunday.

Every one of the album's songs, including lead track “Swim,” sat in the top 14 places on Spotify's Daily Top Song Global chart right after their release on Friday. Lead track “Swim” took the No. 1 spot.

The new album recorded the highest number of single-day streams for any album released this year on Spotify, and also set a record for the highest number of streams for a debuting K-pop album on Apple Music.

Domestic music charts have likewise been taken over by the new BTS tracks. “Swim” sat atop Melon's daily song chart on Friday and maintained its position on the Top 100 chart as of Sunday morning.

“Arirang,” the band's first new album in three years and nine months, was released on Friday.

The album sold 3.98 million copies on just its first day of release, according to market tracker Hanteo Chart, besting the previous record.
