Game publisher Nexon will release new in-game items and events for the online game MapleStory with BTS singer Jin as part the parties' second collaboration project, the publisher said Monday.

The collaboration comes four years after their first team-up in 2022, when Jin had a go at interning for the game company. Jin has publicly expressed his interest and love for the game and has even had a session where he played along with his fans.

Through the new collaboration, Nexon will release a series of videos where fans can watch Jin brainstorm, pitch, and create new updates for the game, even recording his voice for his NPC, non-playable character.

The new game is set in a magical garden where players can find special items to grow magical plants and level up their character. For example, players can gather special items such as plant manure and character level-up booster potions. Players can also roll the dice for a chance to win special prizes, according to Nexon. In addition, players can purchase a limited-time special character outfit, including ones adorned with Jin's handwriting, until June 17.

Videos of the collaboration and additional information can be found on Nexon’s official YouTube channel and on its website.

Jin debuted in 2014 as a member of the boy band BTS. The band is known for hits including "Dynamite" (2020), "Butter (2021), and "Permission to Dance" (2021). In 2022, he released a solo single, "The Astronaut" (2022).

BTS made its first comeback as a full group on Friday after almost four years of hiatus with its newest album, "Arirang" (2026).
