BTS member Jungkook apologized on Wednesday for his behavior during a past livestream.

The singer began the livestream on the K-pop community platform Weverse early on Wednesday, saying that he “would like to apologize to ARMY,” referring to the official name of the BTS fandom.

Jungkook had a Weverse livestream on Feb. 26, during which the singer drank alcohol with other people. In the 88-minute-long livestream — currently unavailable to watch on the platform — Jungkook talked about various topics, including the band’s most recent album, “Arirang,” and the fact that he had smoked cigarettes in the past.

He also expressed his frustration with being censored by the public or his agency, BigHit Music, occasionally using expletives.

“I’m actually not sure what I did that was so wrong during my [February] livestream,” Jungkook said on Wednesday. “I’m not a public figure, and people on YouTube or in the industry all say similar stuff.”

“I haven’t shown that side of myself, so I thought that I might have made some ARMYs uncomfortable,” he said. “For that, I would like to apologize to ARMYs who were inconvenienced by [cursing], and I will refrain from doing so in the future.”

The singer, however, made it clear that he didn’t want to talk to “people who just want to diss everything [about him].”

“While I won’t be committing crimes or doing something really bad, I can sometimes be like that, as a human being,” he said.

BTS made its comeback with its fifth full-length album “Arirang” on March 20. Tand will begin its world tour of the same name with performances at the Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi on Thursday.
