Candy Shop's debut designed to hit the sweet spot for Gen Z
Girl group Candy Shop will make its official debut on March 27, its agency Brave Entertainment said Friday.
"We present the birth of a new group to represent Generation Z, armed not only with great music but all members with their unique charms and skills," the agency said in a press release.
Candy Shop comes as the agency's first new girl group in 13 years since Brave Girls, now known as BB Girls, made its debut in 2011. The name Candy Shop is an expression of the group's aim to cater to listeners' needs like the thousands of different candies inside a candy shop, according to Brave Entertainment.
The girl group has been directed by music producer Brave Brothers, who wrote hit songs for girl groups After School, Sistar, AOA and more.
Brave Entertainment debuted the eight-member boy band DKB in February 2020, marking their arrival with the EP “Youth.” It is known for its EPs “I Need Love” (2023) and “Hip” (2023).
