Girl group bugAboo set to make its debut on Monday

Girl group bugAboo [A TEAM ENTERTAINMENT]

Girl group bugAboo is set to debut next Monday with the song “bugAboo,” its agency A TEAM Entertainment said Friday.

The girl group will have its official debut showcase, “Prick or bugAboo,” at 6 p.m. today, which will be aired on SBS MTV, MTV Asia, and The K-POP’s YouTube channel.

"bugAboo" was produced by songwriter and producer Ryan Jhun, who has written songs for many K-pop groups over the years. Jhun has produced hit songs like SHINee’s “Lucifer” (2010), Red Velvet’s “Dumb Dumb” (2015), IOI’s “Whatta Man (Good Man)” (2016) and IU’s “Celebrity” (2021).

bugAboo consists of six members and the group’s name was inspired by the word “peekaboo.” The group aspires to “surprise the world and overcome scariness to achieve its dreams," according to A TEAM.

“bugAboo” will drop at 6 p.m. on Oct 25 through music streaming sites.
