Golden Child teases new album set for release in November

Boy band Golden Child [WOOLLIM ENTERTAINMENT]

Boy band Golden Child is set to make a comeback for the first time in a year and three months in November, its agency Woollim Entertainment said Thursday.

A teaser poster was released Wednesday at midnight, only reading "Coming soon" with the members' picture and no other details.

This will be Golden Child's first new album since "Aura" (2022) dropped in August last year.

Golden Child debuted in August 2017 as the second boy band from Woollim Entertainment since Infinite.

Beaten by tough competition from major boy bands that dominated the late 2010s, Golden Child found success in the Japanese market instead.

The band made its Japanese debut in January 2022 with the single "A WOO!!," landing the title track on the No. 1 spot on Oricon, Billboard Japan and Tower Records' weekly singles chart. The band became the sixth foreign boy group to top the Oricon weekly chart.

The second Japanese single, "RATA-TAT-TAT" was released in June 2022 and sat high on the Oricon weekly singles chart.

The third Japanese single, "Invisible Crayon," was released on April 19.
