Boy band GOT7’s Yugyeom has been selected as the K-pop star who gives off the most family-oriented vibes, according to fan voting platform Picnic.

In the poll held under the theme of Korea’s Parents' Day from April 10 to 24, Yugyeom ranked first with 69,695 votes. Ian of girl group Hearts2Hearts came in second with 35,111 votes, followed by singer and actor Park Ji-hoon with 18,529 votes.


The platform said Yugyeom’s selection can be attributed to his consistently warm and thoughtful communication with fans. He has also frequently spoken affectionately about his family and parents.

Yugyeom has been serving in the military since Sept. 29 of last year.

Picnic also noted that the vote was meaningful because global fans went beyond simply consuming Korean content and showed an understanding of and connection to Korean culture, particularly its family-oriented values.

In collaboration with the Korea JoongAng Daily, Picnic hosts weekly polls on a wide range of topics related to K-pop artists.
