IVE drops first English single featuring Saweetie
IVE dropped its first English single, “All Night,” featuring American rapper Saweetie on Friday, the girl group’s agency, Starship Entertainment, said the same day.
“All Night” is the group’s first musical release in three months since its first EP, “I’ve Mine,” dropped on Oct. 13, 2023.
The new English single is a reinterpretation of Swedish duo Icona Pop’s 2013 song “All Night” that incorporates IVE’s own twist and rapper Saweetie’s “Icy Girl” style, according to the agency.
The song was made in collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Cirkut, who has worked with such pop stars as Rihanna, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus.
IVE debuted as a six-member girl group in 2021. The members are An Yu-jin, Jang Won-young, Gaeul, Rei, Liz and Leeseo. The group is known for hit songs such as “Eleven” (2021), “Love Dive” (2022), “After Like” (2022) and “Off the Record” (2023).
The group has been on its first world tour, “Show What I Have,” since last October. The tour is scheduled to stop in 19 countries and 27 cities in total.
