Singer Kwon Eun-bi will make her acting debut with the upcoming Japanese film "Stolen Identity: The Last Hacker," her agency Woollim Entertainment said Friday.

The upcoming film, set to premiere in Japan in the fall of 2024, is the third and final entry to the "Stolen Identity" series of movies. The first and second entries to the series were released in Japan in 2018 and 2020, respectively.

Based on Akira Shiga's novel "Stolen Identity," the crime-thriller series revolves around murderer Yoshiharu Urano, played by Japanese actor Ryo Narita, and police investigator Manabu Kagaya, played by actor Yudai Chiba. Kwon will be playing Soomin, a mysterious character who lives in Seoul.

"Kwon Eun-bi will be showcasing the acting skills that she has been polishing for a long time," her agency said in a press release Friday.

There will be scenes where Kwon acts in Japanese, Woollim Entertainment told the Korea JoongAng Daily on Friday.

"Stolen Identity" was also remade into a Netflix film, "Unlocked," in Korea. The Korean remake, released in February, featured actors Yim Si-wan, Kim Hee-won and Chun Woo-hee.

Kwon debuted as a member of girl group Ye-A in 2014, but the group saw little success, and she left the group the following year.

In 2018, she joined cable network Mnet's girl group audition program "Produce 48," making her way to debut once again as a member of the project girl group IZ*ONE after finishing in seventh place. IZ*ONE saw nationwide success, breaking the girl group first week album sales record with its 2020 album "BLOOM*IZ," and disbanded in 2021 upon contract expiration.

Kwon released her first solo EP "Open" in August 2021 and has been active as a solo artist.
