Monsta X to hold mini concert in Seoul
Boy band Monsta X will hold its mini concert "MX Friends" on July 8 and 9 at the KSPO Dome, Songpa District, southern Seoul, the band's agency Starship Entertainment announced Monday.
The upcoming mini concert will be the boy band's first concert after member Shownu completed his mandatory service in April.
"We are glad to meet Monbebe again through fancon' MonX Friends," the members said in a press release on Tuesday.
"As this is our first fancon after Shownu completed his mandatory service, I think fans can anticipate it even more."
Officially titled the "2023 Monsta X 7th Official Fanclub Monbebe Fan-concert," the concert's tickets will be available first to the fan club members, Monbebe, on Monday, followed by general ticket sales on June 8.
All seats are priced at 132,000 won ($100), and the second day of the concert will also be livestreamed worldwide.
Minhyuk is currently serving his mandatory military service since April 4.
Boy band Monsta X debuted under Starship Entertainment in 2015 with the band's first EP, "Trespass." The band is best known for its hit tracks "Who Do U Love" (2019), "Hero" (2015) and "Dramarama" (2017). Five of the six members of Monsta X — Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon and Joohoney — extended their contracts with Starship Entertainment in 2022.
While member I.M signed his exclusive contract with Sony Music, the boy band's original agency Starship Entertainment manages the band's group activities.
