Multinational group VVUP to release first single on April 1

VVUP’s first single, “Locked On,” will be released at noon on April 1, marking the girl group’s “official debut,” the group’s agency EgoENT said Monday.

VVUP released its first digital single, "Doo Doom Chit," on March 13 as a pre-release to the upcoming single.

earattack, the producer behind “Doo Doom Chit,” also produced “Locked On.” He has been credited as a producer for such hits as BTS’s “Dope” (2015), Twice’s “One Spark” and GOT7’s “Hard Carry” (2016).

Dance crew La Chica participated in creating the choreography for the upcoming single.

VVUP is a multinational group comprising Korean members Hyunny and Suyeon, Indonesian member Kim and Thai member Paan. The girl group is the first act to debut under the EgoENT label.

Leader Hyunny competed on MBC’s audition program “My Teenage Girls” (2021) to finish at No. 11 among 83 contestants. Kim was a contestant on "The Voice Kids Indonesia" (2016) and "The Indonesian Next Big Star" (2022). She made her solo debut in February 2019 with the single “Shine“ (ft. ELS & Willy Winarko) under the stage name KIM!.
