The name change was just the beginning. Boy band Nowz’s rebrand has opened a whole new chapter of the group’s pouring success for its two-year anniversary.

The band consists of five members: Hyeonbin, Yoon, Yeonwoo, Jinhyuk, and Siyun. It officially debuted on April 2, 2024, with the single, “Nowadays” (2024) under Cube Entertainment.

After changing its name from Nowadays to Nowz in June 2025, the band began to soar.

“I can’t believe it's already here,” said Siyun when asked about the two-year anniversary. “We were able to find our direction and bond with each other in the process.”

“The three words I would use to describe the band are: passion, grit and authenticity,” said Jinhyuk.

The band released its first EP “Ignition” and its pre-released song, “Fly to the youth (Feat.Yuqi)," in July last year and landed No. 1 on the daily new release chart on QQ Music in China.

Following the EP, Billboard named the band the K-pop rookie of the month for October 2025.

“I see us becoming more comfortable with the stage, especially when we deal with unexpected surprises on stage with more ease,” said Yeonwoo. “These are the moments when you feel like you are becoming more experienced with performing on stage.”

The band also successfully completed its first meet-and-greet on Saturday at Myunghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo District, western Seoul.

“It was a surreal experience as our very first meet and greet and we were able to show our self-composed songs,” said Hyeonbin.

“I want more performances on big stages this year, along with No.1 in music show rankings!” said Siyun.

“I can't thank our fandom 'Day_And' enough,” said Yeonwoo. “Thank you for coming with us on this journey.”
