NMIXX to become first K-pop group to join Billboard Latin Music Week panel

Girl group NMIXX [JYP ENTERTAINMENT]

Girl group NMIXX is set to be the first K-pop group to participate in Billboard Latin Music Week as a panelist at the global music festival, JYP Entertainment said Wednesday.

Celebrating its 35th anniversary, Billboard Latin Music Week will take place from Oct. 14 to 18 at the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Florida. NMIXX will participate on Oct. 16 to discuss K-pop’s presence in the Latin market.

“We are thrilled to welcome NMIXX as the first-ever K-pop artist at Latin Music Week, where their dynamic energy will enrich the event and forge new connections between musical cultures,” said Leila Cobo, Billboard’s chief content officer for Latin music.

The group is also set to kick off its second fan concert, "NMIXX Change Up: Mixx Lab," at Jangchung Gymnasium in central Seoul between Oct. 4 and 6. The final concert will be streamed live on the Beyond Live platform.

NMIXX debuted in February 2022 under JYP Entertainment. The group has six members: Haewon, Lily, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo and Kyujin. Former member Jinni, part of the original debut lineup, left the group on Dec. 9, 2022, citing personal reasons.

NMIXX recently released its third EP, "Fe3O4: Stick Out," in August, with its lead track, "See That?," reaching the top 30 on the Melon Top 100 singles chart.
