Nominees for 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards unveiled

The nominees for the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards were unveiled on Monday, with film front-runners “No Other Choice” (2025) and “The King's Warden” tied at seven nominations each.

The Baeksang awards, put on by the JoongAng Group, have honored excellence in film, television and theater in Korea since 1965 and are widely considered one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the country.

This year's Baeksang Arts Awards, set to be held May 8 at the Coex in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, will add a new musical category to honor Korea's domestically produced shows.

In the film category, the Park Chan-wook thriller "No Other Choice" was nominated for the Grand Prize in the Movie Category, Best Director, Best Artistic Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.

Jang Hang-jun's “The King's Warden” was nominated for the Grand Prize, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, the Gucci Impact Award and the Rookie Award, for which the lead actor Park Ji-hoon was nominated.

Films "The Final Semester" (2025) and "Good News" (2025) were also nominated for the Grand Prize in the Movie Category.

Koo Kyo-hwan, Park Jeong-min, Yoo Hae-jin, Lee Byung-hun and Hong Kyung were nominated for the Best Actor award, while Go Ah-sung, Moon Ga-young, Son Ye-jin, Lee Hye-young and Han Ye-ri were nominated for the Best Actress award.

For the television category, “Our Unwritten Seoul" (2025), "The Dream Life of Mr. Kim" (2025), "You and Everything Else" (2025), "Low Life" (2025) and "Bon Appétit, Your Majesty" (2025) were nominated for Best Drama Series.

The nominees for the Grand Prize in the Broadcast Category included "Extreme 84" (2025-2026), "The Wonder Coach" (2025), "The Ballad of Us" (2025), "Office Workers Season 2" (2025) and "Culinary Class Wars Season 2."

Actors Ryu Seung-ryong, Jinyoung, Lee Jun-ho and Hyun Bin were nominated for the Best Lead Actor award, while actresses Kim Go-eun, Park Bo-young, Park Ji-hyun, Shin Hye-sun, and Lim Yoon-a were nominated for the Best Lead Actress.


The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards will air live on JTBC, JTBC2 and JTBC4 channels.
