BTS members RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook will start their military services on Dec. 11 and 12, reports said Wednesday, though an official announcement from HYBE is yet to be released.

Members RM and V will start their services on Dec. 11, followed by Jimin and Jungkook on Dec. 12, according to a local entertainment news outlet Star News.

"We cannot comment on the location or date regarding the members' military duties," a HYBE official told the Korea JoongAng Daily right after reports surfaced Wednesday.

Earlier this month, BTS's agency HYBE said that the members have begun preparations for their mandatory military service, meaning that they could begin their service as early as next month.

Member Jungkook wrote that he is "beginning a new journey in December" in an online letter to fans on the same day.
