Global hit "APT.," a collaboration between Blackpink's Rosé and Bruno Mars, ranked No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on Tuesday. This marks the highest ranking ever for a female K-pop act on the chart.

Previously, the highest ranking achieved by a female K-pop act was her group’s collaboration with Selena Gomez, "Ice Cream," which reached No. 13 in 2020. For solo female K-pop artists, Rosé's "On The Ground" (2021) and fellow Blackpink member Lisa’s "Rockstar" each peaked at No. 70.

"APT." is a prerelease track from Rosé's upcoming first full-length album, “rosie." The song immediately dominated major Korean music streaming platforms like Melon, Genie, Bugs and Vibe. It also sits atop Spotify's Global Top 50 chart as of Tuesday, making Rosé the first Korean female soloist to achieve the No. 1 spot. The song debuted in fourth place on Britain's Official Singles Chart in the fourth week of October.

"APT." marks Rosé's first new track since she signed with The Black Label in June.

Yoon Soo-il, a rocker who debuted in 1974, is garnering attention from Korean media and audiences as he released a rock song titled “Apartment” in 1987.

"The combination of Rosé and Bruno Mars came together wonderfully to create a great song," Yoon told Yonhap News Agency on Tuesday, adding, "As a senior artist, I'm happy and proud to see people worldwide enjoying it."
