Seventeen member The8 drops self-penned single 'April Draft'
The8, a member of boy band Seventeen, released his self-written song, “April Draft,” on Wednesday, according to the group’s agency, Pledis Entertainment.
The new single was released on Wednesday on Soda Music, a Chinese music streaming platform. The single is scheduled to be released on Thursday on other global streaming platforms such as Melon, YouTube and Spotify.
The singer previously saw his single “Star Crossing Night (feat. GALI)” (2025) reach No. 1 on major Chinese music charts.
The singer is also scheduled to headline the Midou Music Festival in Nanjing on May 2.
He will wrap up his band’s seven-month-long world tour with concerts at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium this weekend.
The8 debuted in 2015 as a member of boy group Seventeen with EP “17 Carat,” following the Mnet television survival reality show "Seventeen Project: Debut Big Plan" (2015).
The band consists of 13 members: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino.
The band is known for songs such as “Adore U” (2015), “Don’t Wanna Cry” (2017), “Home” (2019), “Left & Right” (2020) and “F*ck My Life” (2023).
