Singer-actor Kim Woo-seok signs with H&Entertainment
Singer and actor Kim Woo-seok signed with H&Entertainment, an agency specializing in managing actors, after his contract with TOP Media recently expired, according to reports Tuesday.
The member of boy band UP10TION uploaded a hand-written letter on Tuesday, announcing his departure from TOP Media after 10 years of working together.
"I thank everyone at TOP Media who helped me fill 10 years with such happiness and precious memories," Kim said in the letter. "I will keep on challenging myself and moving forward. I hope you will support me on my way to a happy ending."
Kim's new agency H&Entertainment is a subsidiary of entertainment company Blitzway and home to actors Ju Ji-hoon and Chun Woo-hee.
Kim debuted in 2015 as part of UP10TION, and then again as a member of X1, the final group from the fourth season of Mnet's audition program "Produce X 101," in 2019. He came in second during the show's finale, but the group soon disbanded due to controversy surrounding the program's producers.
Kim began his solo career in May 2020 and continues his activities as a solo artist and actor. As an actor, Kim is scheduled to take a leading role in the upcoming drama "Finland Papa," planned for release this April. He is currently taking a break from group activities following his appearance on "Produce X 101."
His most recent solo album was his fourth EP "Blank Page," released on April 3, 2023.
