'Single's Inferno' to come back with new season on Dec. 12
Netflix's hit reality dating show "Single's Inferno" will roll out its third season on Dec. 12, Netflix said Wednesday.
The third season comes 11 months after the previous season finished last January. The upcoming season was announced to be in preparation starting last February by Netflix.
The third season will follow a similar structure to the past two seasons but will come with "new rules," which have not been revealed yet.
Dex, who appeared in the previous season, will join as a host in the new season along with the original hosts: model Hong Jin-kyung, actor Lee Da-hee, Kyuhyun of boy band Super Junior and rapper Hanhae.
The show centers on singles searching for love on a deserted island, dubbed "Inferno," where electronics are not allowed, and the cast have to cook their own meals and find water.
The only way contestants can escape the island is as a couple. When matched, they go to a luxurious hotel, dubbed "Paradise," for a romantic date night.
The show's first season aired on Dec. 18, 2021, through Jan. 8, 2022, and the second on Dec. 13, 2022, through Jan. 10.
The previous seasons have seen success globally, with the first season of the show becoming the first Korean reality show to make Netflix's Top 10 list for non-English TV shows. The second surpassed the accumulated viewing time of the first season, with almost 6.51 hours of people watching the show, according to Netflix.
