Suga's 'D-Day' encore concert to hit theaters worldwide
A film replaying BTS rapper Suga's "D-Day" tour encore concert will hit theaters around the world on April 10.
The film, titled "Suga| Agust D Tour 'D-Day' The Movie," will premiere at Korea's CGV branches nationwide as well as other cinemas around the world, Suga's agency BigHit Music said Wednesday.
Suga held his "D-Day" solo tour last year, putting on 25 performances in 10 cities around the world between April and June. He entertained some 290,000 fans around the world and finished it off with an encore concert at southern Seoul's KSPO Dome in front of 38,000 fans with three concerts.
The film features footage from the encore concerts. This will be the first time for a BTS concert film to be available at IMAX theaters.
"The 'Suga| Agust D Tour 'D-Day' The Movie' will show Suga's energy and amazing performance as if in real person," the agency said in a press release.
"Audience will also get to see his duet performances with his BTS bandmates RM, Jimin and Jungkook."
Suga began his military service on Sept. 22, 2023 and is expected to finish on June 21, 2025.
