Teen Top to return in July with new album as group of four

Boy band Teen Top [TOP MEDIA]

Boy band Teen Top will return as a group of four with an album on July 4, the band's agency TOP Media announced Wednesday.

Titled "Teen Top [4SHO]," the upcoming album will be the boy band's first new release in three years, following the 2020 special album "To You 2020" and the first album after members Chunji and Ricky finished their mandatory military service.

"'Teen Top [4SHO]' signifies the clear and obvious promise that Teen Top wants to convey to its fans," the agency said in a press release.

"It is a thank you message and a promise by the boy band to Angel that they will never change."

Angel is Teen Top's fandom name.

The album will include a re-recorded version of Teen Top's 2013 hit track "Missing You," as chosen by the fans through the Teen Top Re-cording Project.

Teen Top will also hold the "2023 Teen Top we gonna rock it drop it top it hey don't stop it pop it Live" concert — derived from the boy band's 2013 hit dance track "Rocking" — on July 15 and 16 at the Nodeul Island Livehouse in Yongsan District, central Seoul.

A former member of the boy band, C.A.P, whose real name is Bang min-su, left the boy band shortly after the group announced its comeback in May. He was in controversy after he confessed in a livestream that he was considering not joining the comeback.

C.A.P left the boy band and the agency on May 11. Teen Top currently consists of four members, Chunji, Niel, Ricky and Changjo.

Niel will hold "Niel's Shahan Night" on June 23, a solo concert-talk show series that the singer will hold regularly, inviting different artists to perform on stage.
