The Black Label's Meovv signs partnership contract with Capitol Records ahead of debut
The Black Label’s new girl group, Meovv, signed a partnership contract with Universal Music Group’s label Capitol Records, its agency said Thursday.
“Through this partnership, Meovv has established a foundation to rise as a globally influential artist,” the agency said in a press release.
Capitol Records was founded in 1942 and has a notable roster of global artists, such as Sam Smith and Katy Perry.
The group also revealed its final fifth member, Narin, on Thursday at 6 p.m. The previously revealed four members are Ella, Gawon, Sooin and Anna.
Meovv is set to debut in September, while further information about the group will be available on a later date.
A pop-up event, dubbed “Meovv Debut Pre-listening Pop-up,” will be held until Sept. 4 at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeongdeungpo District, western Seoul.
The Black Label was established by former YG producer Teddy as an affiliate of YG Entertainment. The agency currently manages Taeyang of boy band Big Bang, Rosé of girl group Blackpink, singer Jeon Somi and more.
Teddy is a veteran producer in the Korean music industry responsible for numerous K-pop hits from artists including Blackpink, Big Bang and 2NE1.
