Treasure's Haruto to take break due to grandfather's illness
Haruto from boy band Treasure will take a temporary break from group activities due to his grandfather's illness, his agency YG Entertainment said Thursday.
"Before the release of Treasure's second full-length album 'Reboot,' we announce that Haruto will not be able to participate in the group's 'Reboot' promotion due to his grandfather's illness," YG Entertainment wrote on Friday.
"[Haruto] will return as soon as possible to meet his fans, and we ask for kind understanding from our fans."
Treasure is a 10-member boy band that was formed under YG Entertainment's audition show, "YG Treasure Box" (2018–19). The boy band officially debuted in August 2020 with its debut single, "The First Step: Chapter One."
The boy band will drop its second full-length album, "Reboot," on Friday at 6 p.m., which has been dubbed by Yang Hyun-suk, founder and executive producer of the agency, as "reboot, like a computer reboot."
