Albums scheduled to release postpone plans following Itaewon crush
Albums that were set to be released on Oct. 31 will be postponed following the Itaewon crush that took the lives of over 150 people on Saturday and as the country announced a national mourning period.
Exo Chen's EP "Last Scene," which was set to be released on Monday, will be unveiled later. The online press event that was scheduled to be held the same day has been canceled.
Singer Yong Jun-hyung's EP titled "Loner" will be released at a later date. The virtual tracks of the album and then the physical album, which were scheduled to be released on Sunday and Monday each, have been delayed.
Yong's agency Label Black Made also sent condolences to those affected by the tragedy along with the announcement.
Chen debuted as a member of Exo in 2012. The band is best known for hits “Growl” (2013), “Overdose” (2014), “Love Me Right” (2015) and “Love Shot” (2018). The band’s latest album, “Don’t Fight the Feeling” (2021), topped the iTunes Top Albums charts in 85 regions.
Yong debuted in 2009 as part of the six-member group Beast under Cube Entertainment. The group changed its name to Highlight in 2016 after former members Jang Hyun-seung and Yong Jun-hyung left the band.
