EXID's Solji to release solo music for the first time in 12 years
Solji of girl group EXID will be releasing solo music for the first time in 12 years, her agency C-JeS Entertainment said on Thursday.
According to the agency, Solji's new single "Rains Again" will drop on July 9, 12 years after her single "Like That First Feeling" (2008), which she released before joining EXID as the main vocalist.
Before EXID, Solji sang as both a solo singer and a part of girl group 2NB from 2006, and was also the vocal teacher for members of EXID.
EXID debuted in 2012 and Solji has been in charge of giving her band's songs the quality finish with her voice since.
"Solji's new music comes in time for the summer's rainy season, as it is an emotional ballad," said C-JeS.
Songwriter Loogone — who has worked with some of the biggest ballad singers such as Gummy and Huh Gak — penned the song.
"We ask for your love and support for Solji's new path as a solo artist," the agency said.
