Actor Lee Yoo-mi, who has seen a surge in popularity after appearing in Netflix’s “Squid Game” (2021) and “All of Us Are Dead” (2022), has been cast in tvN’s upcoming drama series “Mental Coach Je Gal-gil” (translated), the cable channel said Friday.

The show is expected to premier in the latter half of this year and stars actors Jung Woo, Lee, Kwon Yul and Park Se-young.

In “Mental Coach Je Gal-gil,” protagonist Je Gal-gil, played by Jung, is a taekwondo athlete who has been permanently banned from the national team. Gal-gil becomes a “mental coach” for other athletes.

Lee plays gold medalist short track speed skater Cha Ga-eul, who is in a slump.

She previously played Ji-yeong in “Squid Game” and Na-yeon in “All of Us Are Dead.”
