Lineup announced for Coupang Play's new 'SNL Korea'

Actor Lee Byung-hun will host next month's first episode of the rebooted "Saturday Night Live Korea." [COUPANG PLAY]


Entertainment show "Saturday Night Live Korea (SNL Korea)," which will reboot on Sept. 4 on the streaming platform Coupang Play, announced its crew lineup on Friday.

Entertainers Shin Dong-yup, Jung Sang-hoon, Ahn Young-mi, Kim Min-kyo and Kwon Hyuk-soo, all of whom also appeared in previous seasons of “SNL Korea” (2011-17), will come back to the show.

Some new crew members include Wendy of girl group Red Velvet, actor Cha Chung-hwa, model Jung Hyuk, comedian Lee Soo-ji and Kim Min-su who is best known for portraying multiple personas on the YouTube channel Psick University. The crew consists of a total of 13 people.

The host of next month’s first episode will be actor Lee Byung-hun, and actor Ha Ji-won will host the following week, according to Coupang Play.

“I’m glad and excited to work with ‘SNL Korea,’ which is coming back after four years,” Ha said. “The production team and I are preparing some refreshing comedy, so please stay tuned.”

New episodes will be released on Saturdays at 10 p.m.
