Actor Seo Yea-ji restarts her career after two years, signs contract with Sublime
Actor Seo Yea-ji signed an exclusive contract with entertainment agency Sublime and is restarting her career after a two-year hiatus.
"Seo has signed an exclusive contract with us," Sublime said Tuesday in a statement. "We plan to fully support and tirelessly work to create new synergies with Seo, who is passionate about acting and possesses a multifaceted charm.”
Sublime's roster includes notable figures such actors Song Kang-ho, Ko So-young and Yoon Jung-hee.
Seo's new contract follows a two-year hiatus and the expiration of her contract with former agency Gold Medalist from November last year.
Seo left the limelight due to being embroiled in controversies involving accusations of school bullying, falsifying academic credentials and gaslighting and mentally abusing her then-boyfriend, actor Kim Jung-hyun in April 2021.
Seo attempted to power through the controversy by taking on the role of Lee Ra-el in the tvN drama "Eve" (2022), where she portrayed a woman meticulously executing revenge. However, her television appearance angered many viewers, making her take a break from her career.
Seo made her debut in the 2013 tvN drama "Potato Star 2013QR3" and has since appeared in the OCN drama "Save Me" (2017) and the tvN dramas "Lawless Lawyer" (2018) and "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" (2020).
