Baekhyun from boy band EXO to hold solo concerts in March
EXO’s Baekhyun will hold two solo concerts on March 16 and 17 at the KSPO Dome in Songpa District, southern Seoul, his agency INB100 said Monday.
The concert, titled “Lonsdaleite,” will be the singer’s first offline solo concert since debuting in 2012 as a member of the now nine-member boy band EXO.
In January 2021, during the Covid-19 pandemic, he had held an online solo concert.
The concert's title takes the name of the carbon mineral that is 58 percent harder than diamonds, embodying the singer's confidence to show a performance beyond the best, according to the agency.
Detailed information about the concert and ticket sales will be available in the coming days, according to the agency.
Baekhyun began his solo career in 2019 with his first solo EP “City Lights.”
The singer recently founded his own label, INB100, and has been more actively pursuing solo activities since.
The label also represents Baekhyun's bandmates Chen and Xiumin, as of earlier this month. All three will still continue collective activities as EXO under the management of the band's agency SM Entertainment.
Baekhyun held fan meet and greets at Jangchung Arena in Jung District, central Seoul, on Jan. 20 and 21. The singer is set to hold another fan meet and greet in Gwangju this Saturday, and then in Busan on Feb. 3.
