Boy band SHINee's Taemin to release first English-language single 'Long Way Home'
Singer Taemin of boy band SHINee will release his first English-language digital single, “Long Way Home,” on Friday, his first project since joining the agency Galaxy Corporation earlier this month.
The new track is a dreamlike pop R&B song about the sense of longing and melancholy, according to his agency.
This will be his first English digital single since starting his solo career in 2014.
Taemin left SM Entertainment in 2024 after his exclusive contract ended and signed with Big Planet Made Entertainment. Big Planet Made announced on Feb. 24 that Taemin’s exclusive contract with the agency had ended.
The singer then joined Galaxy Corporation, also the home of singer and rapper G-Dragon.
Taemin is set to perform at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. The festival is scheduled for April 10 to 12 and April 17 to 19.
