Director Lee Isaac Chung and 'Twisters' team to visit Korea ahead of film’s local release
The team behind Golden Globe-winning director Lee Isaac Chung’s latest disaster film, “Twisters,” will visit Korea on Aug. 7 and 8, Warner Bros. Korea said Friday.
Director Chung, along with actor Daisy Edgar-Jones and producer Ashley J. Sandberg, will meet with Korean fans and press during their two-day visit. This will be Edgar-Jones and Sandberg’s first visit to Korea.
The team will also participate in special screenings of the film on Aug. 7, ahead of its Korean release on Aug. 14. Details about these screenings will be available on CGV’s website and mobile app.
Further information about the visit will be revealed at a later date, according to Warner Bros. Korea.
“Twisters,” a standalone sequel to the 1996 disaster film “Twister,” features a social media storm chaser and a meteorologist who confront multiple tornadoes in Oklahoma.
The film premiered in North America on July 19, topping the U.S. box office during its opening weekend and achieving the biggest opening gross for a natural disaster film.
