The comedy film “Wild Sing” starring actors Gang Dong-won, Um Tae-goo and Park Ji-hyun as a hip-hop dance trio in the 90s, is scheduled to open in theaters on June 3.

The film follows a three-member dance group, “Triangle,” that disbanded after being embroiled in an unexpected scandal at the height of its fame. Two decades later, the has-been trio tries to return to the limelight as a reunited group.

Gang plays the leader of the group, Hyeon-woo. Um plays the rapper, Sang-gu and Park plays Do-mi, the core member. Actor Oh Jung-se plays Seong-gon, a ballad singer whose spotlight was always stolen by the trio.

The film’s trailer, released on Monday, offers a sneak peek of the group's debut single “Love Is,” a 90s-style hip-hop dance music featuring retro camera work of the time. Its posters also show 90s-inspired, vivid color schemes, costumes and font designs.

The film is produced by About Film, the production company behind the hit comedy film “Extreme Job” (2019), which drew 16.26 million viewers, and is directed by Son Jae-gon, who directed “Secret Zoo” (2020).
