GOT7's BamBam to hold first solo world tour
BamBam from boy band GOT7 will hold his first solo world tour.
Titled "Area 52," BamBam will kick off the tour with a performance at the Olympic Hall in Songpa District, southern Seoul, on Sept. 16, followed by concerts in the Philippines on Sept. 22, Macau on Sept. 30, Malaysia on Oct. 15 and on BamBam's home country, Thailand, on Oct. 28.
More concert dates will be added in the future, according to the concert poster uploaded Thursday.
"The title of the tour 'Area 52' refers to the 'unrevealed space of the world,'" the singer's agency Abyss Company said in a press release Thursday.
The tour will see new arrangements of BamBam's solo releases alongside never-before-seen stage compositions that can only be seen during the world tour, the agency said.
BamBam debuted in 2014 as a member of GOT7 in 2014 under JYP Entertainment. After GOT7's exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment ended in 2021, BamBam signed with Abyss Company, home to artists MeloMance, Urban Zakapa, Sunmi, Park Sandara and more, while the boy band continues its group activities with Warner Music Korea.
BamBam made his solo debut in 2021 with his first EP, "riBBon," followed by his second EP "B" in 2022 and "Sour & Sweet," his first full-length solo album in March.
