J-pop artist imase to kick off Asian tour with Seoul concert
Japanese singer-songwriter imase, known for his 2022 hit song “Night Dancer,” will kick off his Asia tour with a concert in Seoul on July 16, his label Universal Music Japan said Thursday.
The concert, titled “imase 1st Asia Tour ‘Shiki’ in Seoul,” will be held at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, eastern Seoul.
The singer will perform songs including “Night Dancer” with a live band at the concert. “Night Dancer” was the first song by a J-pop artist to enter the Melon 100 chart in 2023, boosted by the song’s popularity on TikTok.
Tickets for the “imase 1st Asia Tour ‘Shiki’ in Seoul” concerts opened at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
imase debuted in 2021 with the single “Have a nice day.” The singer has also worked as a producer, notably for girl group Le Sserafim, for whom he produced the songs “Jewelry” (2023) and “Dresscode” (2023).
He released a compilation of already released singles in Korea in August 2023.
