Loona's Yves to make solo debut on May 29

Yves of the now-disbanded girl group Loona [PAIX PER MIL]

Yves of now-disbanded girl group Loona will release her first solo EP, “LOOP," on May 29 to kick off her solo career, her agency, Paix Per Mil, said Tuesday.

The artist revealed a poster displaying the EP's release date and title on Tuesday. Further details are still to come.

“LOOP” will be Yves's first solo release, six and a half years since her 2017 debut as a member of Loona.

All 12 members of the group, beginning with Chuu in 2022, have suspended their exclusive contracts with agency BlockBerry Creative, claiming that the agreements contained unfair clauses.

Yves signed an exclusive contract with Paix Per Mil in March. Paix Per Mill was established by music producer Millic, who appeared on Mnet’s hip-hop competition program “Show Me The Money 8” (2019) as part of hip-hop and R&B crew Fanxy Child.

Her bandmate Chuu signed with agency ATRP and kicked off her solo music career in April 2023. Heejin, Haseul, Kim Lip, Jinsoul and Choerry joined the label Modhaus and formed ARTMS, which will make its official debut on May 31.

Members Hyunjin, Yeojin, Vivi, Gowon and Hyeju — formerly known by her stage name Olivia Hye — debuted as girl group Loossemble on Sept. 15 of last year under their new agency, CTDENM.
