Singer Solar of the girl group Mamamoo will release a new Chinese single on Monday.

The new single, "Your Own Star," explores the search for personal direction and meaning over time, according to her agency RBW. Solar worked with Taiwanese indie band Accusefive, a group widely followed by Gen Z listeners, on the track.

The release follows Solar’s first Chinese single, "Floating Free" (2025), released in June last year, which was a collaboration with Taipei-based singer-songwriter 9m88. The track topped Taipei’s iTunes Top Songs chart and KKBOX’s Top Trending Songs chart after its release.

During promotions in Taipei, Solar met about 100 local media outlets and communicated in Chinese, according to RBW. Solar also held a solo fan concert in the city on June 22, 2025, at the Taipei International Convention Center.
