Netflix romantic comedy series “Mr. Plankton,” starring actors Woo Do-hwan and Lee You-mi, is slated for release on Nov. 8, the streaming platform said Monday.

Directed by Hong Jong-chan, who was behind the Netflix series “Juvenile Justice” (2022), and written by Jo Yong, who wrote the tvN series “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” (2020), the upcoming Netflix drama follows the story of the last days of a man, Hae-jo, accompanied by the unluckiest woman in the world, Jae-mi.

The series features Woo as Hae-jo, Lee as Jae-mi and Oh Jung-se as Eo Heung, the husband-to-be of Jae-mi.

“The characters in the story, not just Hae-jo, Jae-mi and Eo Heung, but all of them, are absolutely lovable,” director Hong said in a press release. “As you follow along with these pure-hearted characters, you'll find yourself feeling both comforted and healed, all while enjoying the lighthearted fun.”
