Rookie girl group Uspeer announces new album after departure of leader
Rookie girl group Uspeer is scheduled to return with a new album in June, according to its agency, MW Entertainment, on Thursday, just one day after confirming that its leader is leaving the team.
“Even though Yeowon is no longer part of the team, we hope the fans can still support the remaining six Uspeer members on their upcoming journey,” said MW Entertainment.
The news of the departure of Yeowon, the group's former leader, and the termination of an exclusive contract with the agency was announced on the group’s official social media on Wednesday, confirming the team would move on with six remaining members. The agency did not provide a reason for the departure.
The group's comeback comes almost a year after the release of its debut single, “Speed Zone” (2025).
The group consists of members Soee, Chaena, Daon, Sian, Seoyu and Roa.
