Singer Yuju to drop 'Rewind' as part of collaborated series

Yuju [KONNECT ENTERTAINMENT]

Yuju will drop a collaborated song, "Rewnid," on Wednesday, her agency Konnect Entertainment said Friday.

Yuju is known best as the lead vocalist of girl group Gfriend.

"Rewind" will be the fourth entry in the +memory project, a collaborated series of releases. The series aims to "add the sense of longing in daily life and cover it with new feelings," according to the agency.

The first entry to the project was "Nostalgia," released in March, which singer-songwriter Woody sang, followed by "Whale," released in July by Hui from boy band Pentagon and the third entry, "Rain Drive," released Aug. 2 by singer-songwriter Rothy.

"'Rewind' features groovy beats with stacked up pluck sounds, making a medium-tempo track based on moombahton and trap genres," the agency said.

Yuju debuted in 2015 as the main vocalist of GFriend, known for "Rough" (2016), "Navillera" (2016), "Fingertip" (2017) and "MAGO" (2020). She released her first solo EP in January 2022, eight months after the girl group's exclusive contract terminated with Source Music in May 2021. Yuju is best known for her duet with rapper Loco, "Spring is Gone by Chance" (2015).
