Twice tops Billboard 200 chart with latest EP 'With YOU-th'
Twice topped the Billboard 200 chart with its latest EP “With YOU-th.”
It is Twice’s first No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making it the third K-pop girl group to top the chart.
Twice’s 13th EP “With YOU-th,” released on Feb. 23, sold 95,000 equivalent album units in the United States, according to the U.S. statistics company Luminate, landing on top of the Billboard main chart for the week of March 9.
Equivalent album units comprise of physical album sales, track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums.
Notably, “With YOU-th” had 90,000 physical album sales in the United States, making it the top-selling album of the week and the largest sales week for an album this year, according to Billboard.
This makes “With YOU-th” the seventh Twice album to land on the Billboard 200 chart, following “More & More” (2020), “Eyes wide open” (2020), “Taste of Love” (2021), “Formula of Love: O+T=〈3” (2021), “Between 1&2” (2022) and “Ready to Be” (2023). “Ready to Be” (2023) landed No. 2 on Billboard’s main chart upon its release in March with 153,000 equivalent album units.
“With YOU-th” also saw strong album sales in Korea as the album sold more than 1.06 million copies in the first week of its release, according to the Hanteo chart.
Twice is currently on its fifth world tour “Ready to Be,” spanning 27 regions around the world. Kicking off with performances in Seoul in April last year, the girl group is set to perform at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on March 16, followed by performances in Osaka and Yokohama, Japan in July.
A total of eight K-pop artists — including BTS, Super M, Stray Kids, Blackpink, Tomorrow X Together, NewJeans and Ateez — have topped the Billboard 200 chart so far.
Le Sserafim’s latest EP, “EASY,” also debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart on Sunday.
