Another webtoon series by "Sweet Home" webtoonist Kim Carnby is set for TV show adaptation starring actors Jang Ki-yong and Cha Seung-won, its production company StudioN said Monday.

The series, based on Kim’s webtoon “Pigpen” (2019-20), is a mystery thriller revolving around Jin-woo, played by Jang, who is stranded on a deserted island with memory loss. The series follows Jin-woo’s journey in trying to find his lost memories while struggling to survive from a mysterious family.

The series will also feature actors Park Hee-soon, Roh Jeong-eui and Kim Dae-myeung alongside Jang and Cha.

It will be directed by Kim Sang-man, who took the helm of Netflix’s upcoming film “War and Revolt” in collaboration with director Park Chan-wook and designed the film posters of “Parasite” (2019) and “Lady Vengeance” (2005).

“I really enjoyed the webtoon ‘Pigpen’ and the character [I am playing] was also very intriguing,” Jang said in a press release. “I started preparing for the series with the excitement of thinking that I could make something amazing by working with such talented staff and senior actors. I will do my best to make a great piece.”

The series started its shooting and aims for commercial release in 2025, according to StudioN.
