Weeekly to come back with new music on Nov. 1
Weeekly will come back with its fifth EP on Nov. 1, one year and seven months after the girl group's first single "Play Game: Awake" in March 2022.
Weeekly originally announced that it would release a new album in October.
"Weeekly will drop its fifth EP on Nov. 1 and confirm its comeback," the girl group's agency IST Entertainment said in a press release Monday.
"We plan on releasing teaser content, including a spoiler video, starting mid-October. We hope you look forward to the upcoming album release."
The album will feature a "wider spectrum of music" and "upgraded performance" the girl group has prepared over its hiatus, according to the agency.
Weeekly dropped "Good Day (Special Daileee)," a digital single dedicated to the girl group's fans, Daileee, on Sept. 12.
Weeekly debuted under IST Entertainment in 2020. The group is known for its tracks "Tag Me (@Me)" (2020), "Zig Zag" (2020) and "After School" (2021).
Four of the group's six members — Soojin, Soeun, Zoa and Jihan — joined cable network Mnet's girl group survival program "Queendom Puzzle," which began airing in April. While the Weeekly's members did not make it to the final seven contestants, Jihan made it to the final episode, coming in at No. 10.
