Weeekly to hold college-themed fan meeting

Girl group Weeekly [IST ENTERTAINMENT]


Weeekly will hold its first-ever fan meeting, “Weeekly University” (“WU”), on Jan. 6, the girl group’s agency, IST Entertainment, said Thursday.

The fan meeting will be held at the Shinhan SOL Pay Square, formerly known as the Shinhan pLay Square, located in Mapo District, western Seoul.

“As this is Weeekly’s first fan meeting event since the group’s debut in 2020, the fan meeting will be filled with moments where Daileee will be able to celebrate many different ‘firsts’ [achievements] with Weeekly,” IST Entertainment said in a news release Thursday.

Daileee is the name of Weeekly's official fandom.

“Weeekly has announced its ‘graduation’ from high teen concepts alongside the release of the fan song ‘Good Day’ in September, [and it will be exciting] to see the university life that Weeekly will show during the fan meeting.”

Tickets to the fan meeting will be sold on Interpark Ticket and will be opened first to the members of Weeekly’s official fan club on Dec. 20. General ticket sales open on Dec. 22.

Weeekly debuted in 2020 with its first EP, “We are.” The group is known for its upbeat high teen / high school concept and music, shown in songs “Tag Me (@Me)” (2020), “Zig Zag” (2020), “After School” (2021) and more.

Weeekly dropped its fifth EP, “ColoRise,” on Nov. 1, marking the group’s first album release in more than one year and seven months.
