Hip-hop girl group H//PE Princess to debut on May 27 with EP '17.7'
Rookie hip-hop girl group H//PE Princess will make its official debut on May 27, its agency Chapter-I announced on Wednesday.
The septet will release its first EP, “17.7,” which symbolizes the average age of the members when the group’s formation was confirmed. The title itself also captures the members’ energy and potential at the time.
The new album will have five tracks, including songs performed during the television show “gOOd! (H//PE P ver.),” “DAISY (H//PE P ver.)’ and a newly produced song “Stolen.” Famous rapper Gaeko, a member of the hip-hop duo Dynamic Duo, also participated in the new album production.
The seven members — Coco, YSY, Yuju, Doi, Rino, Niko and Sujin — were selected through a Korea-Japan joint audition program “Unpretty Rapstar: Hip Pop Princess” (2025), which featured 40 contestants from the two nations. The program was produced by the Korean culture entertainment company CJ ENM and aired via the company's music channel Mnet.
Their agency Chapter-I is a joint venture established by CJ ENM and Japanese marketing firm Hakuhodo.
