Singer Lee Chan-hyuk of the K-pop sibling duo AKMU will publish his own picture book titled “Alien” on March 15, his agency YG Entertainment said Friday.

The book is about his sister Lee Soo-hyun’s first solo single “Alien" (2020) which Lee Chan-hyuk wrote the lyrics of. The song is in the dance-pop genre and is about a young child who recovers her self-esteem after hearing from her mother that she is special. In the song, the mother tells her daughter that she is a powerful alien who is strong enough to turn the Earth upside down.

Artist Lee Yoon-woo collaborated with Lee Chan-hyuk on the drawings.

Pre-sales for the book started Friday on reservation sites such as Yes24, Aladdin and Kyobo Bookstore.

AKMU rose to popularity by appearing as one of the contestants for the second season of the K-pop audition program “K-pop Star” on SBS in 2012. The duo became the ultimate winner and was scouted by YG Entertainment.

AKMU made its official debut with the first full-length album “Play” in 2014.
