YG Entertainment on Friday denied dating rumors between its actor Jang Ki-yong and former star rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae.

On May 27, rumors began to spread online that the two stars are dating after some netizens made assertions that the two went on a trip together to Busan last month.

To back up the claim, the netizens pointed to captured photographs, of two separate but of similar compositions of a seaside view at a Busan beach that were posted on both stars’ Instagram accounts on April 25, as proof. Jang has also named Son as his “ideal type” on multiple programs.

YG Entertainment, however, cleared up the “misunderstanding,” and said that the actor does not personally know the gymnast and that he was in Busan to shoot tvN’s drama series “Now, We Are Breaking Up,” which began airing on May 26.
