Blackpink's Lisa announces return to music as a solo artist
Girl group Blackpink’s Lisa is coming back with new music, teasing her solo return on TikTok, Sony Music Entertainment Korea said Friday.
Her music will be the first in almost three years since her first album as a soloist, “Lalisa,” was released in September 2021.
The singer uploaded a clip on TikTok on Thursday afternoon, with the clip’s background music titled “Teaser.”
Lisa also announced her return on her official website with a phrase saying “Coming Soon,” alongside links to pre-save her upcoming music on music streaming platforms Spotify and Apple Music.
The singer debuted as a member of Blackpink under YG Entertainment in 2016. She founded her own label, Lloud Co., in February, which manages her solo activities.
In April, the singer and her label, Lloud Co., entered a partnership with U.S. record label RCA Records under Sony Music Entertainment for her global solo career.
Lisa will also make her acting debut with a role in the third season of HBO’s “The White Lotus.”
